Daft Friday: the biggest and best social event on the Glasgow University calendar. FACT.

Trust me, you really have to see it to believe it. For one night of the year, the union is transformed beyond recognition, the perfect way to celebrate the end of the Christmas exams. Previous themes have included Disney, Narnia, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Hollywood. Let us entertain you with ‘the Godfather of Ibiza albums’ CHICANE as the headline act. Think immense dance remixes and smash hit floor-fillers, as well as collaborations with top names such as Natasha Bedingfield, Cher, Tom Jones and Keane.

The DJ set features the FREEMASONS. This DJ duo have also worked with some of the most famous names in the industry, creating phenomenal tracks with non other than the likes of Faith Evans, Jamiroquai, Fatboy Slim and Beyonce!!!

And it doesn’t stop there. We also have for you a host of events and activities to keep you entertained until 8am, including:

Indoor Laser quest – Swing Band – String Quartet – Ceilidh – Flair Bar & Cocktail Lounge – Casino – Subcity Radio Party – VIP Lounge – 10 Hour Hive – Free Breakfast – Drinks Reception and lots more!

Tickets are now available from the GUU shop (during regular opening times) and the front foyer (between 12-2pm), for the regular price of £30 for a single and £55 for a double. This will include a complimentary drink, snack and breakfast for those who make it till 8am.

(A huge amount of preparation goes into this one night extravaganza, especially from the DF committee. If you fancy yourself as a budding artist or handy man then getting stuck in with preparations is very rewarding – get involved with the Daft Friday Committee – they meet every Wednesday from 6pm and every Sunday from 1pm)
