People

The Union is run by students for students and is made up of an elected Board of Management and of course various valuable members of staff.

The Board of Management consists of 17 students and 7 former students. This includes 3 members of Executive Management, made up of The President, The Honorary Secretary and The Assistant Honorary Secretary, and The Trustees, made up of 2 Vice Presidents and an Honorary Treasurer.

Here at The GUU, we aim to provide you with the best service possible and so, to that end, there will always be at least one board member in building during opening hours. This involves our PSMs and Convenors taking it in turns, in groups of 3, to be on duty in the Union for a week at a time. They keep the place ship-shape, answer any queries you might have and run the Hive nights, along with one Executive member who takes charge of the whole building for the evening!
